When academic Peter is suddenly hit by financial trouble, his affluent circle of friends are quick with sympathy but painfully slow to offer real help. As their self-interest and moral discomfort bubble to the surface, the play exposes the fragile contracts that hold friendships together, and how quickly generosity evaporates when money enters the equation.
